Mary from Magdala has popularly been saddled with an unfavorable reputation, but how did this notion come about? In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblicalarchaeology.org\/daily\/people-cultures-in-the-bible\/people-in-the-bible\/was-mary-magdalene-wife-of-jesus-was-mary-magdalene-a-prostitute\/\"><strong>From Saint to Sinner<\/strong><\/a>, Birger A. Pearson examines how Mary Magdalene\u2019s notoriety emerged in the early Christian tradition.
